Feb 16, 2016 | 5:50 AM

Meadow Lake RCMP had a busy week.

They were involved in a lock-down practice at local schools, a traffic enforcement initiative in school zones and a second joint multi-detachment traffic initiative near Green Lake.

From Feb. 9 to Feb. 14 Meadow Lake RCMP handled 123 calls for service or assistance requests.

Out of the 123 files, the majority were criminal investigations.

Nine were for assaults of varying severity and six were for various types of breaking and entering complaints.

On Feb. 13 a 27-year-old local male was arrested for breaking and entering. He was charged with theft under $5,000, assault causing bodily harm, and breaking and entering with intent.

The accused has been remanded to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Feb. 16.
