Accused murderer back behind bars

The Prince Albert Police Service is confirming a man who escaped from custody is back behind bars.

paNOW has been told Braidy Vermette has been caught and was arrested and taken into custody overnight. He was found by RCMP.

No other details are being released at this time. The RCMP is expected to release more information this morning.

Vermette is one of two men accused in the 2015 murder of Troy Napope.

It was believed that he was with his girlfriend.  Police are confirming Tristen Smith has been arrested too.

He was busted out of custody March 30 by armed masked men. 

Vermette was being transferred to Victoria Hospital for a self-inflicted cut on his arm when was he was taken.
