Busy week for M.L. RCMP

May 9, 2016 | 6:01 PM

Between May 2 and 8, Meadow Lake RCMP had a very busy week responding to 138 calls, one of which included arresting an individual for suspicious backyard activity.

Of the complaints, many reported suspicious activity in yards and around vehicles. In one instance police located a suspect vehicle which fled at a high rate of speed. A 17-year-old male was arrested after he was suspected of going through back yards. Charges are pending on the youth and the RCMP continue to encourage residents to report any suspicious activity.

In a media release, Cpl. Ryan How, interim detachment commander said the RCMP would like the public to be aware the Rural Municipality of Meadow Lake has requested increased patrols on grid roads and secondary highways.
