Senior Sox take an easy win at home

Jun 6, 2016 | 12:57 PM

Back on their home diamond, the Meadow Lake senior White Sox welcomed the St. Walburg Reds. Looking to jump above a .500 winning percentage, the Sox easily handled the Reds winning 11-1.

Veteran pitcher Craig Weran pitched a solid game giving up zero earned runs while second baseman Shawn Irwin and fielder Matt Bourassa each hit a couple RBIs helping the team improve to 3-2 on the season.

The senior Sox will look to get the road monkey off their back as they travel to Edam for their next game on Tuesday, June 7. So far in the 2016 season, the Sox are 3-0 at home and 0-2 on the road.
