The Meadow Lake White Sox made easy work of the Mervin Flyers last night, Wednesday, June 29. The sunny day with a soft breeze made for perfect conditions in the Sox 11-1 victory.

Pitching in his fifth game of the season Craig Weran, made it three innings before the Flyers scored their lone run. Weran only gave up six hits throughout the game as he cruised to his league leading fifth win of the season.

The first run of the game for Meadow Lake was scored by second baseman Shawn Irwin who scored off an RBI from Quincy Winkler. The bats kept swinging for the Sox in the second inning with Chris Ellis, Alex Vidal, Matt Bourassa and Colton Swiderski all scoring runs. Vidal would add another in the third. By the sixth, the Sox finished Mervin, mercy-ruling them with runs from Davin Hildebrand, Irwin, Kevin Gerwing, Quincy Winkler and Scott Fransky.

The win gives Meadow Lake a 9-5 record on the year, one game ahead of Standard Hill for first place in the Smith Division.
