Highway collision leaves one dead near M.L.

A highway collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian has left one dead while the other walks away uninjured.

At 11:15 p.m. yesterday, July 3, Pierceland RCMP responded to a collision 16 KM east of town on Highway 55.
 

A 16-year-old female from the Mudie Lake First Nation was struck by a vehicle while walking down the highway.

Pierceland RCMP with the assistance of Pierceland Fire, Cold Lake Fire and EMS attended the scene where the female was eventually pronounced dead.
