Boston Pizza on course to open doors in January

The wait is almost over for Meadow Lake residents. Canalta Foods has begun construction for a Boston Pizza restaurant, something people have been awaiting for almost three years.

After the final building permits were issued and the survey work complete, construction crews from Bonnyville, Alta. began breaking ground last week.

A spokesperson from Canalta said doors should be open for the Boston Pizza sometime in January.

He added a job fair will likely be held in late fall.

The restaurant is located off the West Service Road, next to Tim Hortons. The site will also have a Canalta Hotel but construction plans for it haven’t been announced yet.
