Pierceland RCMP responds to second fatal vehicle collision this week

Less than a week apart, Pierceland RCMP have responded to another fatal vehicle collision.

The collision occurred yesterday evening, July 7, at approximately 6 p.m. Officers responded to a single vehicle rollover three km east of the Alberta border on a rural gravel road.

The investigation revealed the occupant was a 54-year-old male from Cold Lake who lost control of his vehicle. RCMP believed he was not wearing his seatbelt, causing to be thrown from the vehicle.

With the assistance from Pierceland Fire, Cold Lake Fire and EMS, RCMP attended the roll-over with the male pronounced dead on scene.
