Season over for M.L. White Sox

Aug 9, 2016 | 12:40 PM

The season has came to an end for the Meadow Lake White Sox as the team fell 11-1 to the Wilkie Brewers in last night’s game three.

The game, initially scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 7 was rescheduled to Monday, Aug. 8 due to rain.

Quincy Winkler got the ball for the Sox but didn’t get much help on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. The lone run for Meadow Lake was batted in by team MVP Kevin Gerwing who said the loss just gives the team more time to focus on provincial finals.

Meadow Lake will make the trip south to Kindersley for the Senior AA Tier 2 Provincial Finals from Aug. 12 to 14.
