Sep 6, 2016 | 12:14 PM

With hundreds of extra people in the Meadow Lake area over the weekend, RCMP partnered with the local MADD chapter to hold check stops.

In a media release, Sgt. Ryan How thanked the Flying Dust First Nation powwow organizing committee for a fun, enjoyable and overall safe weekend.

Over the weekend, RCMP checked over 60 vehicles. None had impaired drivers behind the wheel.

However, in separate traffic stops on Aug. 30 and 31 a 16-year-old male and 20-year-old female were arrested for impaired driving.
