Two arrested in M.L. home invasion, three still at large

Three of five accused in a home invasion that occurred last weekend in Meadow Lake are still on the loose.

According to a media release from the Meadow Lake RCMP detachment, police responded to a home invasion on Evans Place, which involved the use of firearms. A 40-year-old male suffered minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Five men have been charged with break and enter, as well as robbery with a firearm. The accused are Brenden Yew, Daniel Vandale, Damien Morin, Gerald Black and Draysen Bingham.

All were still at large until Wednesday when Black and Morin were arrested.

Sergeant Ryan how of the Meadow Lake RCMP said that Morin appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Thursday April 27. “Active warrants are still in effect for the other accused,” he noted.

The media release went on to say that “all of the individuals reside in the City of Meadow Lake but have connections in the City of Saskatoon and the Meadow Lake surrounding area.” 

Meadow Lake RCMP have asked anyone with information regarding these individuals or the investigation is asked to contact the detachment at 306-236-2570 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
