Meadow Lake RCMP are searching for a suspect in a robbery that took place at a gas station on Flying Dust First Nation earlier this week.

In a media release from the detachment, Cpl. Rielly Knock said that on June 20, a male entered the establishment in the late evening hours of June 20.

“At approximately 10 p.m., an unidentified male entered [the] gas station while staff were closing for the night,” he said.

“The male confronted the staff and proceeded to steal a large sum of cash.”

Knock said that while the investigation is still underway, it is not be believed at this time that weapons were involved in the incident. He said the suspect fled the area on foot, but was not found.

“The male was described as wearing all black,” he said. “The male was seen with a face covering and hat, had an average build and was taller than 5’7″.”

Anyone with information related to this event is encouraged to contact the Meadow Lake RCMP at (306) 236-2570 or Crimestoppers.
