Woman facing charges related to Saturday shooting in North Battleford

Oct 23, 2017 | 2:20 PM

A woman is now facing charges related to Saturday’s shooting incident on 15 Avenue in North Battleford.

Amanda Wahobin, 28, has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

Wahobin was the second suspect in the vehicle the Battlefords RCMP were pursuing that evening.

The male driver of the vehicle – Brydon Bryce Whitstone – was shot and killed following an altercation with the RCMP. The case is currently being investigated by the Regina Police Service.

In a separate case, Wahobin is also facing charges of robbery and breaching a conditional sentence order. These two charges are not related to Saturday’s incident.

Wahobin appeared in North Battleford provincial court Monday and has been remanded in custody.

She is scheduled to appear again Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.

The allegations have not been proven in court.
