Riders extend head coach Chris Jones’ contract

Dec 12, 2017 | 11:46 AM

After making the playoffs for the first time in three years, the Saskatchewan Roughriders have extended the contract of head coach Chris Jones.

The move, which will keep Jones with the Riders until 2019, was officially announced by the team Tuesday.

It comes after the green and white made it to the Eastern Conference Finals and nearly made their way to the Grey Cup.

Since taking over as the Riders’ bench boss in December 2015, Jones has compiled a 15-21 record.
