M.L. RCMP investigating property thefts

Meadow Lake RCMP are searching for culprits after two theft incidents stemming from December 2017.

According to Sgt. Ryan How, during the weekend of Dec. 16 and 17, the thieves entered a locked area at Meadow Lake Auto and Tractor.

“The culprits cut through the fenced compound along with a chain link dog kennel and stole approximately $600 worth of marked battery cores,” he said. “Access was made from the South side of the compound.”

Also over the holiday season, a work site east of Meadow Lake was the target of theft. This time, it was 30 feet of copper wire, which is worth between $200 and $300.

Meadow Lake RCMP would like the community to stay diligent in reporting suspcisous activity in and around the city, especially during non-business hours.
