Anderson and Team Canada take on the world

Apr 27, 2018 | 12:00 PM

Sherry Anderson and Team Canada have advanced to the semifinals at the World Senior Curling championships in Ostersund, Sweden.

Team Canada beat Finland 10-6 in Friday’s game and will play Switzerland on Saturday morning at 1 a.m. local time. While the bracket schedule reads Canada should be playing the U.S.A, Canada was bumped to a different bracket as the World Curling Federation restricts two teams from the same pool playing each other.

The Canadian men’s team from Alberta (Wade White) also advanced to the playoffs after beating Wales 5-3 Friday morning. They will play Norway later today in the Quarter Finals.
