A man accused of driving someone else’s ATV through town while he was drunk is facing several charges after the Big River RCMP ran into him twice yesterday.

Around 2:40 p.m. a Mountie on patrol saw the man driving the ATV on the streets of Big River. While investigating, a second member on patrol spotted the ATV near Highway 55.

The vehicle was previously reported stolen, so Police seized and towed the vehicle.

A 24-year-old man from Big River was arrested and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while exceeding .08, possession of property obtained by crime and driving while disqualified.
