Power outage hits Meadow Lake region this morning

For just under an hour, residents in the Meadow Lake region were in the dark.
A wide-spread power outage occurred just before 9 a.m. which affected the City of Meadow Lake Green Lake, Jeannette Lake, Flying Dust First Nation, Kimball Lake along with the provincial park and regions in between.
Around 9:17 a.m., Saskpower reported crews were working on the issue. At the time, there was no estimated time of return, but then power came back on around 9:40 a.m.
According to the outage centre, a raven caused some damage to the substation, and local crews were quick to respond.
