A local man is facing charges after committing a bold theft yesterday.
On Thursday July 19, Meadow Lake RCMP arrested a man in possession of property he had allegedly stolen from a local residence earlier in the day. He was located by RCMP walking down the street with the property in plain sight, after it was identified by the homeowner as having been posted for sale on a local Facebook buy and sell page.
The man has been charged with Break and Enter to a Residence as well as Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000.
Cpl. Rielly Knock said RCMP remind the public to be aware stolen items are frequently put up for sale on informal buy and sell sites at a price lower than would generally be expected.
