Matthews breaks record, polishes career year in Rush win

“I could care less.”

Those aren’t typical responses for an athlete that breaks records and wins a scoring race, but for Saskatchewan Rush forward Mark Matthews, those lines will do just fine.

‘Huge loss:’ Family mourns teen killed in Meadow Lake shooting

The family of a 17-year-old boy shot and killed in Meadow Lake says they’re still in dark about what happened Monday morning.

Kegan McCallum died in hospital after being found with a gunshot wound at a home in Meadow Lake on Nov. 13.

UPDATE: Loon Lake police take one into custody after report of man with firearm

A home on a First Nation west of Meadow Lake was surrounded by RCMP Friday morning after reports of a man with a firearm entering the residence.

Residents of the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation are being asked to avoid the area as officers secure the scene.

Dave Scott says new evidence could exonerate officers involved in the incident.
