Riders get boost from Owens, Marshall just in time for Calgary

A name that Rider Nation has been asking about since he signed will finally make his first start of the season Friday night.

Chad Owens, who signed with the Riders in the offseason primarily as a return man will make his Roughrider debut as a receiver.

‘That’s football:’ Riders not fussed about in practice scrap

“That’s football.”

That’s the message from the Saskatchewan Roughriders after it came out that star receiver Duron Carter and defensive back Sam Williams got into a scrap during practice on Monday.

Stopping Harris and the run key for Riders against Redblacks

When the Roughriders squeaked by the Redblacks two weeks ago, they did it without Ottawa’s starting quarterback Trevor Harris.

That won’t be the case this time, as Harris returned from his shoulder injury last week and put together a win against the B.C. Lions.

Inexperienced Redblack QB doesn't mean easy win for Riders

It may seem like a benefit for the Riders to have Ottawa quarterbacks Trevor Harris and Drew Tate unavailable for Friday’s game, but the head coach does not want them to take a win for granted.
