The NDP MP for Desnethe-Missinippi-Churchill River says the federal government has an obligation to either save Greyhound bus service in Western Canada or help subsidize a new one.

A Saskatchewan charter bus company is welcoming news of stricter seatbelt regulations from the federal government, but says enforcement will be a challenge.

The province is inviting public feedback on how they should address cannabis impairment in the workplace. However the SGEU says policies on impairment are already in place and there should be no panic ahead of legalization.

The Government of Saskatchewan wants the public to have their say on how best to keep people safe in the workplace once recreational marijuana is legal in October, though a union leader believes there should be no panic about the situation.

After a hot, dry spring we're now in for more record-breaking temperatures this week as we officially enter summer.

The temperatures are expected to be up to 12 degrees hotter than normal for this time of year and a heat warning is in effect for the La Ronge area.

Inspection teams like this one can detect invasive species but the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation is calling on all boaters to help keep zebra mussels out of the province by cleaning and drying their vessels and equipment before hitting the road.
