Riders juggle offensive line after Clark injury

The Saskatchewan Roughriders are being forced into a major shift along the offensive line, and throughout the lineup, due to a single injury.

Centre Dan Clark is out long-term due to what’s believed to be an arm injury, impacting roster management for Head Coach Chris Jones.

Roughriders search for defensive ‘monster’ continues

Defensive lineman Willie Jefferson has had a great start to the season, but it needs to be more than a one-man show up front for the Roughriders defensive line to succeed.

They need a bigger push, especially up the middle.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders take to the field Thursday night in Regina for the first regular-season game of 2016, which may leave some fans overwhelmed by the number of new names on the roster.

Chris Jones didn’t get a warm welcome in his return to Edmonton.

“People act ugly and call you names and stuff as you walk on the field unfortunately but that’s part of it. It’s pro football,” admitted Jones after his team lost 25-11 to the Edmonton Eskimos.
