Two experienced skips booked their ticket to January's Viterra Scotties Women’s Provincial Championship this past weekend, by outplaying eight other teams at the Twin Rivers Curling Club in North Battleford.

Spartans football picks up first win in years

For one side, Thursday's game at Crusader Field was a long time coming. It was a huge win for a program that has struggled in the past and finally got over the hump.

There has only been two and a half days of competition so far at the Canada Summer Games, but there are already a number of Saskatchewan teams that have stood out and should be watched closely in the coming days.

It was quite the night for DeWinton, Alberta's Brock Radford on Wednesday night at the fourth annual Professional Bull Rider (PBR) Classic at the Civic Centre in North Battleford.

Both the Meadow Lake Sox and North Battleford Beavers have successfully qualified for the post-season, but now they both need to pull off an upset if they want their seasons to continue.

The Meadow Lake Sox and the North Battleford Beavers battled it out all season long for the Albers Division title, but after all was said and done it didn't amount to much, as both have qualified for the post-season and now face uphill battles.
