Marathon runner claims Saskatoon police dropped him outside city

A man well known in Saskatchewan's marathon and triathlon communities alleged he was dropped off by police outside Saskatoon and left to fend for himself.

Ken Thomas went to a concert last Saturday night in Saskatoon. Afterwards, he went to Stan's Place, a bar on the city's South side.

The Nipawin Volunteer Fire Dept. was among several emergency services crews on scene the night of April 6, and members will be eligible for some financial support from Wounded Warriors Canada.

Veterans group creates trust fund for first responders after Broncos crash
