Diocesan Refugee Fund – In his February 18, 2016 letter to all parishes, Bishop Albert Thévenot, M. Afr. announced the creation of a Diocesan Refugee Fund to assist parishes and groups who are unable to fully finance a refugee yet who are willing to be responsible for settlement obligations.  Donations can be sent and made payable to the Diocese of Prince Albert, Attention: Louis Hradecki, 1415-4 Ave. West, Prince Albert, SK S6V 5H1.  Please write “Refugee Fund” in the memo area. Donations are eligible for a tax receipt.   • April 16, Catholic Idol concert coming soon!  Catholic Idol is coming soon!  On Saturday, April 16 at 2:00pm at St. Mark’s Parish, the Diocesan Vocations Commission will present “Catholic Idol”.  There will be top quality, talented singers from Albertville, Prince Albert, Bellevue, St Louis, Wakaw, Domremy, Meota, Porcupine Plain & Spiritwood!  An offering will be taken to offset costs.   Please mark your calendars for this momentous event.

April 17, St. Joseph Parish, Prince Albert – Please join the St. Joseph’s Parish on Sunday, April 17, at 3 p.m. as they will be showing a film entitled ‘The Original Image of Divine Mercy’.  This film is the untold story on an unknown masterpiece painted at the request of St. Faustina. April 17, Stew and Bannock Fundraiser, Prince Albert – The Knights of Columbus and Society of St. Vincent de Paul both provide service to the poor and marginalized in our city.  In 2013, 209 homes were visited and 60 food hampers were given.  Services were similar in 2014 and 2015.  Please join us for a stew and bannock supper on April 17 at 5:00pm at Sacred Heart Cathedral.  Advance tickets are $10/adults, $8/ages 7-18, children under 6 are free.  Tickets are $12 at the door.  There will be a silent auction and 50.50 draw.  For tickets, call Richard Beaulieu at 306-763-6647 or Henry Siwak at 306-763-5314.

May 1, Thanksgiving Ordination Anniversary Concert – You are cordially invited to a thanksgiving concert will be held by Fr. Roque Concepcion on the occasion of his 17th Ordination Anniversary.  It will take place on May 1 at 3:00pm at St. Joseph Parish in Prince Albert. Donations are accepted.  Proceeds will be given to the St. Joseph Refugee Sponsorship Program.
