Compassion Required – Door of Hope Needs Winter Clothing

If you or someone you know is wanting to get rid of some winter coats and gloves/mitts, we would take them to have some on hand for those without proper winter coats.

It’s getting to that cold time of the year and there are sometimes individuals who are at risk of getting sick or freezing due to improper winter clothing.

Something to add, I know that it is difficult to understand why and how some people live the way they live, especially if you’re lifestyle is detached from theirs.

I think it’s important to remember that everyone struggles with something, some people’s struggles are a lot harsher and lead to a lot more poverty and destruction.

It’s true that as individuals we are responsible for our decisions, good or bad even amidst extenuating circumstances, but sometimes the most powerful act we can do is show the love Christ calls us to show, and there are many ways to do that.

Sometimes a warm coat is one of those ways!
