Carpenter High wrestler wins provincial banner

Carpenter High School may have many provincial sports banners hanging in their gym, but one for wrestling is a first.

In 2017, Jacob Ambroziak won in the 130 kilogram weight class, and on Thursday, Jan. 11 the school officially accepted the banner in his honour.

NWSD sets deadline to find French immersion staff

The fate of the high school French immersion program in Meadow Lake is up in the air.

The Northwest School Division (NWSD) is determining whether it can recruit qualified teachers by this spring. During discussions today, the board and superintendents set a deadline of April 18.
