Healing Haven hopes to build bear enclosure with next fundraiser

Healing Haven Wildlife shelter didn’t reach its fundraising goal to build a black bear rehabilitation enclosure, however, the organizations big fundraiser at the end of October is expected to bring in the remaining dollars.

UPDATE: M.L. council changes Highway 4 speed limit

UPDATE: Last night, Meadow Lake city council unanimously approved a change to the speed limit on the portion of Highway 4 which travels through the city.

The approval comes after the Aug. 22 meeting where council was first presented with the request.

M.L. Broncos and food bank get country music boost

Country rock and roll filled the air in Meadow Lake to support local hockey and the food bank.

More than 500 people packed the Meadow Lake and District Arena on Saturday, Sept. 24 night to support the Meadow Lake Broncos and Door of Hope soup kitchen and food bank.
