Carter, Gainey among Riders’ player award nominees

Duron Carter’s ability to play both offensive and defensive football earned him a nod, and Ed Gainey’s 10 interceptions have also been considered outstanding as the Roughriders announced their player award nominees Wednesday morning.

Riders focused on winning next game, not playoffs: Jones

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have a playoff spot locked up, but that doesn’t mean they’re slacking for the rest of the regular season.

Riders head coach Chris Jones indicated he plans on having his starters out there for the regular season finale against the Edmonton Eskimos.

Duron Carter has Grey Cup goals

Last season Duron Carter didn’t even have a team, let alone a spot in the playoffs.

What a difference a year makes.

The effervescent receiver was cut by the Montreal Alouettes so late in the 2016 season that by league rules he was unable to join another team.

‘This is home:’ LaBatte signs 4 more years with Riders

It’s a good thing Brendon LaBatte looks good in green because he’s not going anywhere for a long time.

The homegrown offensive lineman for the Saskatchewan Roughriders has signed a four-year contract extension that will keep him with the club until 2021.
