Vigil honours shooting victim’s memory

Family, friends, and community members gathered Thursday evening in Meadow Lake to remember Kegan McCallum by participating in a candlelight vigil walk. The 17-year-old died in hospital Monday, Nov. 13 after being shot in a home on Meadow Lake’s west side.

New appeal date set for murder conspiracy case

A new appeal date has been set for two lovers convicted of conspiring to murder their spouses.
 
Curtis Vey and Angela Nicholson will both appear at the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal in Regina on Dec. 15.
 
Both were convicted last year after a trial in Prince Albert.

Officers with the Saskatchewan RCMP and Prince Albert Police Service were recently involved in an online investigation that led to the rescue of nine child abuse victims in Philippines.

Family of M.L. shooting victim still waiting on many answers

After a two-hour meeting with RCMP last night about the investigation surrounding 17-year-old Kegan McCallum’s shooting death, the family still has many questions about what happened.

The family of a 17-year-old boy shot and killed in Meadow Lake says they’re still in dark about what happened Monday morning.

Kegan McCallum died in hospital after being found with a gunshot wound at a home in Meadow Lake on Nov. 13.

NWSD brings in counsellors after shooting death

The shooting death of 17-year-old Kegan McCallum has rocked the community of Meadow Lake and counselling is now available for his fellow classmates in the school division.
