Changes coming to Meadow Lake garbage and recycling pick-up routes

Changes to the Meadow Lake garbage and recycling pick-up dates will be taking effect March 1.

The change comes due to the overall growth in Meadow Lake, Layne Shkopich, director for Lamon Disposal said.

“We were running into issues with the trucks having to make more trips to the landfill with the existing routes, (than average) and by doing the switch up it will eliminate that,” Shkopich said.

Residents who live between Seventh and Nineth Ave W. and First and Fifth St. W. will have their garbage picked up on Tuesdays instead of Fridays.

After the change takes effect, affected residents will not have their garbage picked up on March 4, but instead on March 8.
