Officer assaulted and $1,000 theft over weekend

Over the weekend of Feb. 6 and 7, members of the Meadow Lake RCMP detachment responded to 31 complaints – including three assaults.

An officer was assaulted while responding to one of the calls.

Ron`s Plumbing and Heating was broken into over the weekend. Approximately $1,000 worth of copper wire was stolen.

At this time the RCMP have no suspects.

Meadow Lake RCMP urges anyone with information of the theft to contact their detachment at 306-236-2570 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
