CHS curling teams advance to regionals after districts wins
They hurried hard this past weekend and now three teams from Carpenter High School in Meadow Lake participate in regionals early next month.
Meadow Lake played host to the northwest districts on Saturday, Feb. 10, where nine teams from across the region took part in a series of round robin games.
The girls team won gold after winning two games. Two Carpenter High boys teams faced off against one another in the final, so both will be heading to finals in Blaine Lake next month. Ernie Studer School from Loon Lake took gold in the mixed final.
Girls team skip Ashley Albert said her teammates felt confident and having home ice made a difference. The team will be heading to regionals in Allan.
