Drinking water advisory lifted for Meadow Lake, Flying Dust F.N.

Jul 27, 2018 | 6:11 PM

The precautionary drinking water advisory that has been in place since May for the City of Meadow Lake and Flying Dust First Nation has been lifted.

The city announced late Friday, July 27, they had received the all-clear from the Water Security Agency (WSA).

The distribution system has been flushed and treated water reservoirs cleaned, according to a notice from the WSA.

While the city said the watercolour may still be a little off, the sediment is not harmful to human health, and the water quality is continually monitored to ensure it meets all provincial regulatory requirements.
