Deceased found after structure fire

Adult remains were found inside a mobile home following a fire on the Big River First Nation.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 11:45 p.m. on April 26.

Once the flames were suppressed, members of the Debden Fire Department and Big River RCMP found the remains.

Police said in a press release that an autopsy scheduled in Saskatoon this week will help in identifying the deceased.

RCMP continue to investigate the cause of the fire with help from the Saskatchewan Coroners Office and a provincial fire examiner.
