Loon Lake Golf Club now open after construction delays

Loon Lake Golf Club is officially open today. As of noon golfers are able to call in to the club and book a tee time.

Mik Carey, the golf course superintendent, said the course opening was delayed because the pro-shop wasn’t operational until now.

“The building wasn’t quite ready for us to get into it even just to use the pro-shop side of it,” Carey said. “Once the building was able for us to use, then we had to have a couple of days to set it up.”

Construction on the clubhouse isn’t completely finished. The kitchen is still under construction but Carey hopes to have the kitchen ready by early summer.

The original clubhouse building burned down June 25, 2017.
