Power outage caused by transmission-related problem

Jun 13, 2019 | 12:51 PM

The short-lived power outage yesterday evening was a transmission-related problem.

A power outage occurred close to 6 p.m. on June 12 in Meadow Lake and surrounding areas. The outage lasted roughly 30 minutes before power was restored.

Jordan Jackle, a spokesperson with SaskPower, said the outage related to a transmission problem and affected the lines north of Meadow Lake toward Turnor Lake and the south line toward Turtleford.

Jackle said they are investigating what exactly caused the outage.
