New judge appointed to Meadow Lake Court
The Government of Saskatchewan has appointed Michael Segu as a judge to the provincial court in Meadow Lake.
“We have a longstanding tradition of appointing some of the best legal minds in Canada to our provincial court, and Judge Segu continues this practice,” Justice Minister and Attorney General Don Morgan said in a press release.
“Judge Segu brings with him 21 years of experience as a Crown prosecutor on a wide variety of cases, which will no doubt serve him and the people of this province well as he moves into his new position as a provincial court judge.”
Segu received his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1997. After completing his articles with the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General, Judge Segu permanently joined the ministry as a Crown prosecutor in Meadow Lake, where he prosecuted for nearly four years.
