Province records 14 new cases of COVID-19, releases numbers on active youth cases
The province has recorded 14 new cases of COVID-19 and released its weekly report on active cases involving children and youth in Saskatchewan.
The new cases are located in the North Central (one), North East (one), Central East (five), Regina (four), South West (two) and South Central (one) zones. The total amount of reported cases is now at 1,927.
Of the total cases, 144 are considered active. A total of 1,759 people have recovered with nine more recoveries recently added to the total.
“Our new cases are trending up and we were expecting to see this, especially as schools open and our economy re-opens, but we need to make sure we do everything that we have been doing to keep this curve as flat as possibles,” said Saskatchewan’s Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab during a press conference Thursday afternoon.
