COVID cases exceed 10,000, four more deaths
A further four people have died following positive tests for COVID-19, as the total number of reported cases in Saskatchewan since the pandemic began moved beyond the 10,000 mark. Over a hundred new cases are being reported across the north. A total of 135 people are in hospital, 26 of whom are in ICU. In all, 59 people have now died.
According to the daily report from the government, two of the latest fatalities were individuals were in their 60s from the Regina and Far North zones; and two individuals were in their 70s from the South zone.
There are 415 new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on December 6, 2020, bringing the provincial total to date to 10,139 cases.
The seven-day average of daily new cases is 272 (22.4 new cases per 100,000 population).
