Over 300 new daily COVID cases in the province for fourth consecutive day

The provincial government is confirming another 393 new cases of COVID-19 Monday.

This includes 208 new cases in the northern zones: Far North West (25), Far North East (23), North West (65), North Central (64), and North East (31). No new cases were reported in the Far North Central zone.

These new cases bring the total number of cases in Saskatchewan to 56,533; 3,252 cases are considered active and 52,669 cases are considered recovered.

One new death was also reported bringing the provincial total to 612 residents with COVID-19 who have died and a case fatality rate of 1.1 per cent.

About one-third (34.6 per cent) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years of age category.

About one in eight (12.2 per cent) new cases were in people who are fully vaccinated.

Total doses of the COVID-19 vaccines has reached 1,490,119 with an additional 1,006 reported Monday and 702,595 residents are now fully vaccinated.
