Saskatchewan sees first snowfall of the season
It may have not stuck around for long, but snow did hit the ground in Saskatchewan’s northwest Sunday.
According to Environment Canada’s Chris Stammers, one or two centimetres hit the ground overnight, along with some rain mixed in. It fell in between North Battleford and Meadow Lake, and up through to the Alberta border.
“Nothing actually fell at the North Battleford or Meadow Lake airports, as far as accumulations, but definitely a little bit of wet snow, mixed in there this morning,” Stammers said.
In some localized areas, rainfall reports were between 30 and 40 mm, or 1 to 1.5 inches.
