North American Chuckwagon Championships kick off in Lloydminster
The North American Chuckwagon Championships (NACC) will kick off Friday night at the Lloydminster Exhibition grounds and run until the 16.
Featuring a number of the top drivers and outriders from the Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Association (CPCA) and World Professional Chuckwagon Association (WPCA), the nine-day show will feature a $100,000 Dash and an aggregate truck winner at the conclusion of the week’s racing action.
Meadow Lake’s Logan Gorst won the inaugural NACC event last year and said he’s looking forward to getting back out there to compete in Lloydminster again, against a number of the best in the sport.
“There’s some really good outfits here,” Gorst said. “There’s a few guys that turned down the Calgary Stampede and are coming to this show, including Jamie Laboucane, Luke Tournier, and my brother Dustin Gorst, adding with Ray Croteau Jr., who’s leading the WPCA in the other circuit over there, so really we’ve got some good competition over here and it’s exciting.”
