Cold temperatures hitting most communities north of Saskatoon
Northern Saskatchewan and parts of central Saskatchewan are under an extreme cold warning.
The polar vortex, which is a large area of low pressure and cold air around the north pole, is expanding which is sending cold air into the province.
Brian Proctor, a meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada, said normal temperatures around this time are usually a high of around -6 C and an overnight low of -18 C.
The next few days will be much colder.
