Saskatchewanderer SaskatchewandererJoin the hundreds of skiers who will ski through the scenic hills and beautiful forests of Lac La Ronge Provincial Park.

With over 50 kilometres of ski trails groomed for both classic and skate technique and 8 different route distance options ranging from 2km to 55km, as well as an overnight winter camping event, there is truly something for everyone!

Event Details

• All trails will be groomed for skate and classic. Click here to see a map of our trails.
• All events EXCEPT the 2km and the 55km event start at 10am on the ice in front of the La Ronge Legion Hall, 1400 La Ronge Avenue.
• The 55km events starts at 8:30 a.m. at The Legion.
• The 2km event starts at 11:00 am at the Nut Point campground.
• There will be awards for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place skiers in each age category and event, except for the 2km and 5km Jackrabbit Glide and Lake Challenge, which provides an award for each young skier.

• Registration for all Saskaloppet events is online only at Zone4. Click here to register.
• Event options and fees will be set out in the online registration form.
• Parents/guardians skiing with their children must also register..
• REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Register before Monday, February 24 at 11pm with no late fee. After Feb 24, a $10 late fee applies. Registration officially closes Wednesday, February 26 at 11:59 pm CST.
• NO REGISTRATION ON-SITE. Registered skiers have the option to change their distance when they pick up their bib.​
• Cancellation Policy: In the event that the organizing committee finds it necessary to cancel the event, registrants will receive a full refund of entry fees (including any admin charges)

Bib Pick-up

Kupesewin skiers will pick up their bibs at the La Ronge Legion Hall on Friday, Feb 28 between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

All other skiers in the Saturday events will have two opportunities to pick up their loppet bibs:

1. Friday, Feb 28 between 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. at the La Ronge Legion Hall

2. Final pickup on Saturday, March 1 between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. at the La Ronge Legion Hall

CheckPoints

Checkpoints are located every four to nine kilometers and have radio contact, first aid, toilets, beverages, food, a campfire and friendly volunteers. Skiers on Saturday can expect checkpoints along the Saskaloppet Trail where snacks and drinks will be provided by our friendly volunteers. The checkpoints also have warm-up cabins for emergency use. Be sure to dress appropriately for winter conditions. Checkpoints are marked on our Course Maps.

Results

The Don Allen Saskaloppet is a timed event and finish times are accessed through zone4. Finish times are all recorded on skiers’ finishing certificates.
