M.L. library celebrates 70 years tonight
Marking its 70th year, staff and board members at the Meadow Lake Library are hosting an evening of memory sharing, tea, and a history in photos this evening.
Library board and staff members are putting the final touches on image displays and videos of different moments which have happened throughout the library’s history.
“We’re hoping there will be a number of people who will come out and be willing to share their own memories of the library,” board chair Kaitlin Harman said. “I think the library’s played a really important role in our community and it’s really grown over the years. It’s involved in so much more than just lending books, they do so many wonderful events in our community for youth and different groups so it’s really become an integral part of our community so I hope people will come out and celebrate that.”
Beginning at 7 p.m. today, Oct. 19, residents are invited to the anniversary event.
