M.L. Stampeders finish weekend series 2-0-1
Not having played a game in two weeks, the Meadow Lake Stampeders were well rested this past weekend, getting at least one point in three games.
The first game, on Friday Nov. 18 had the midget AA Stamps welcome the Unity Lazers to the Meadow Lake and District Arena for the first game of the weekend. A slow paced game with few penalties and even fewer goals, the Stampeders won the contest 3-1.
Scoring the first goal of the game was Meadow Lake’s Geordie Janvier. Scored six minutes into the frame, his goal was set up by Brody Swanson and Deni Kantel and was the only one scored until the third period.
More than 30 minutes of play passed before Unity’s Lindsay Gibbons netted the tying goal three minutes into the final period.
