Woodstock 50 concert organizers sue investor that backed out
NEW YORK — A dispute over whether the Woodstock 50 festival will go on has spiraled into a court fight, with organizers suing and at least temporarily silencing a former investor that sought to call off the anniversary show.
In a lawsuit this week, Woodstock 50 organizers accuse Dentsu Aegis Network of verbally and financially sabotaging the August event in Watkins Glen, New York.
A request for comment was sent to London-based Dentsu Aegis. A Manhattan judge ordered the company Thursday to stay mum at least until a hearing Monday.
