Visitation limited at Northlands Pioneers Lodge following COVID-19 case
Following a positive case of COVID-19 at Northlands Pioneers Lodge Long Term Care, the Saskatchewan Health Authority is restricting visits to the facility.
Family members and support people will now only be permitted for compassionate reasons and no other visitors are allowed into the long term care home until further notice. Some of the compassionate care reasons include end-of-life care, major surgery and intensive or cortical care.
Before entering, family members and support people must be verified and undergo a health screening, as well as wear a mask and potentially other protective equipment. Outdoor visitation will still occur where it’s deemed safe.
In a statement Friday evening, the SHA asked the public for their support and cooperation in order to contain the spread of the virus. You can find more details regarding the announcement are online.
